AN ALL-NEW '20/20' REPORTS ON AN OUTRAGEOUS PLOT TO KILL INVOLVING SEX, SECRETS AND SCANDAL
Correspondent John Quiñones Reports on a Father of Four Who Vanished and an Investigation Involving the Body Transporter and the Coroner on '20/20: Driven to Death' on ABC and Streams Next Day on Disney+ and Hulu
When 46-year-old father of four Greg Rice of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, failed to pick up his children for a scheduled visit, his ex-girlfriend of 15 years, Meagan Jackson, grew alarmed and reported him missing to police. It appeared as if Greg had just vanished into thin air. When police questioned Meagan, cameras captured her telling investigators she never saw Greg on the evening of his disappearance, but digital evidence and surveillance footage painted a different picture. Police discovered Meagan, who worked as a body transporter driving the dead to local funeral parlors, may have known more than she let on - and she was not alone - her married lover, Deputy Coroner Chris Dontell, was right by her side. Weeks later, the case took an unexpected turn when Greg's body was found floating in a river, and items recovered led police to a witness. Correspondent John Quiñones reports in an all-new episode of "20/20: Driven to Death," FRIDAY, OCT. 17 (9:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC and streams next day on Disney+ and Hulu.
The episode includes never-before-seen police interrogations, body camera video and exclusive interviews with Chris Dontell and his wife, Erica Dontell, as well as Meagan and Greg's daughter, Savannah, and the woman who found Rice's body.
