'Death of a Showgirl,' an All-New '20/20,' Airs Friday, April 17, on ABC and Streams Next Day on Disney+ and Hulu
Debbie Flores Narvaez was a young woman passionate about dance. Originally from Puerto Rico, Debbie and her sister, Celeste, moved to Maryland with their parents when they were seven and eight years old, respectively. Debbie had dreams of making it big as a Vegas showgirl. After college, she packed her bags and moved to Sin City, where she began auditioning on the Vegas Strip. Soon after, Debbie landed her dream job as an ensemble dancer in the Luxor's "Fantasy," a popular burlesque show in Vegas featuring a rotating cast of top musical artists, including '90s R&B sensation SisQó, who was known for his chart-topping hit "The Thong Song." When Debbie failed to arrive at a midnight rehearsal the night before their premiere, her roommate became concerned and called 911. Friends and family tried to reach Debbie, but she has seemingly disappeared, leaving behind a trail of mystery. "20/20" reports on Debbie's disappearance and speaks with law enforcement officials, friends and family members, and includes an exclusive interview with the person convicted of Debbie's murder in "Death of a Showgirl," FRIDAY, APRIL 17 (9:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC and streams next day on Disney+ and Hulu.
