THE LINDSAY CLANCY TRIAL: A NEWSNATION SPECIAL
Hosted by NewsNation Senior National Correspondent Brian Entin, the documentary will take viewers inside the recent trial of Lindsay Clancy, a Massachusetts mother who faces charges in connection with the deaths of her three young children, and examines the evidence, testimony and questions surrounding her mental state at the time of the killings. In an exclusive interview, Mr. Entin will speak with Rusty Yates, the ex-husband of Andrea Yates, who was accused of killing her five children in a case that became a national flashpoint in the discussion surrounding postpartum mental health and criminal responsibility. The interview marks Yates' first national television appearance since the beginning of Clancy's trial and offers a unique perspective on how the case has brought painful questions from the Yates case back into the national conversation. As the trial has brought renewed national attention to postpartum mental health and criminal responsibility, Mr. Entin will go beyond the courtroom to explore the complex medical and legal questions at the center of the case. The special will feature interviews with criminal defense attorney Mark Eiglarsh, former Circuit Court Judge Tarlika Navarro, and Dr. Catherine Birndorf, a reproductive psychiatrist and CEO and co-founder of The Motherhood Center, a postpartum depression treatment center in New York City.
