LEGENDARY ACTRESS RITA MORENO TO GUEST STAR ON ABC'S "UGLY BETTY"

Episode to Also Feature Rebecca Gayheart ("Vanished," "Nip/Tuck") And Justina Machado ("Six Feet Under")

Oscar, Emmy, Grammy and Tony winner Rita Moreno will guest star on an upcoming episode of ABC' s award-winning comedy, "Ugly Betty." The episode, "A Tree Grows in Guadalajara," will also feature guest appearances by Rebecca Gayheart ("Vanished," "Nip/Tuck") and Justina Machado ("Six Feet Under") and will air in May on the ABC Television Network.

Moreno and Machado will play Aunt Mirta and Cousin Clara, two long-lost Suarez family members that Betty (America Ferrera) and her family encounter on a trip home to Mexico. Gayheart will play Jordan, the woman Alex Meade (Rebecca Romijn) dated before his faked "death" and transformation into Alexis Meade.

"Ugly Betty" stars America Ferrera as Betty Suarez, Eric Mabius as Daniel Meade, Alan Dale as Bradford Meade, Tony Plana as Ignacio, Ana Ortiz as Hilda, Ashley Jensen as Christina, Becki Newton as Amanda, Mark Indelicato as Justin, Michael Urie as Marc, Kevin Sussman as Walter, Rebecca Romijn as Alexis Meade and Vanessa Williams as Wilhelmina Slater.

"Ugly Betty" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish audio via SAP. The comedy airs THURSDAYS, 8:00-9:00 p.m., ET, on the ABC Television Network.
