SUPER BOWL XL PRE-GAME -- SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 5 (2:30-6:00 p.m., ET) -- Featuring a �Celebration of the Decades� theme to mark the 40th anniversary of the Super Bowl, ABC�s pre-game show will dedicate each half-hour until 5:00 p.m. to a decade of past Super Bowls (1960s at 2:30 p.m.; 70s at 3:00 p.m.; 80s at 3:30 p.m.; 90s at 4:00 p.m.; and 2000-05 at 4:30 p.m.). Other planned features include a look at Pop Warner Challenger Football for mentally and physically disabled children, and the positive impact that the Super Bowl had on a former American hostage in Iran 25 years ago. GEORGE LOPEZ � �THE KIDNEY STAYS IN THE PICTURE� � WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET) � In this special episode loosely based on George Lopez�s real-life battle with kidney disease, after Max admits he likes a girl in his class, George attempts to teach his son how to be a ladies� man. When George learns that Max has been accidentally wetting his bed, George figures Max is just stressed out about having his first girlfriend and doesn�t bother to tell Angie. When Max�s grandfather suggests that these symptoms may indicate that Max is sexually active, George and Angie take him to the doctor, played by Ken Howard -- himself a real-life kidney transplant recipient. The doctor informs them that though Max requires surgery, it will help him avoid kidney disease in the future.
FREDDIE � �ELIGIBLE BACHELOR� � WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) � Freddie and Chris are both nominated as finalists for the title of �Chicago�s Most Eligible Bachelor.� They invite the other nominees to the restaurant for an informal get-together and team up to scope out the competition. Since Brad Chase�s attempt to bribe Denny Crane�s fianc�e, Beverly Bridge (Joanna Cassidy), failed miserably, she threatens to tell Denny what happened unless Brad can find a legal loophole to save her sickly cat from her ex-husband, who wants to take it off of life support. Meanwhile, Shirley Schmidt and Julie Bauer defend a teenaged girl who was brutally raped and is now pregnant. The girl wants to sue the Catholic hospital where she was treated because they refused to provide her with emergency contraception.

ABC SATURDAY MOVIE OF THE WEEK � �CAST AWAY� � SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET) � Tom Hanks (�Saving Private Ryan�) stars as a �Type-A personality� executive named Tom Noland who flies around the world solving problems for his shipping company. A taskmaster and devotee of time management, he squeezes in a rushed Christmas Eve dinner with his fianc�e (Helen Hunt, �Pay It Forward�), before he is called away to a company crisis in the South Pacific. Before boarding his flight, he gives her a surprise gift that appears to be an engagement ring, and he promises to return for New Year�s. Noland�s flight suffers a catastrophic explosion over the Pacific and crashes into the sea. EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION � �KUBENA FAMILY� � SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 19 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) � The odds of identical twins developing the same form of childhood leukemia at the same time are so astronomical that even the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society don�t have statistics on it, but that is exactly what happened to the Kubena family of East Bernard, TX. Since they were two years old, Tara and Sara have undergone several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, before they were both declared to be in remission. After years of being in isolation from their peers in order to protect their fragile immune systems, the twins were finally able to go to school and play with other children, which was something they had always dreamed of. However, recently, Tara�s leukemia relapsed. Her best chance at survival was a bone marrow transplant, which she received in October of 2005. In this episode, the design team will demo their very first trailer and make room in a brand new house in which Tara can recover. And the Kubenas, who have endured a double dose of pain and financial hardship, will get it all back ten-fold!
