NBC PRIMETIME RESULTS FOR THE WEEK OF MAY 29-JUNE 4

BURBANK, Calif. � June 6, 2006 � NBC won the week of May 29-June 4 with a 2.4 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49. NBC also finished #2 for the week in total viewers with an average 7.1 million viewers overall, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

NBC programs accounted for four of the week's top 10 shows in adults 18-49. Monday's telecast of "Deal or No Deal" ranked #2 for the week among adults 18-49 and #1 among total viewers.

Primetime averages for the week of May 29-June 4 in adults 18-49 were NBC (2.4/7), CBS (2.3/7), Fox (2.3/7), ABC (2.1/6), Univision (1.4/4), UPN (0.8/3), WB (0.7/2) and Telemundo (0.4/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (8.7 million), NBC (7.1 million), ABC (5.8 million), Fox (5.6 million), Univision (3.1 million), UPN (2.1 million), WB (1.9 million) and Telemundo (0.8 million).

NBC highlights for the week of May 29-June 4:

* NBC ranked #1 among adults 18-49 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday nights last week.

* On Tuesday, the season premiere of "Last Comic Standing" was the top-rated show of the night on any network in adults 18-49 and was the #4 telecast of the week. NBC won Tuesday night in adults 18-49 and other key demos.

* "Last Comic" grew dramatically throughout its two-hour Tuesday telecast, increasing by 52 percent in adults 18-49 from its first half-hour to its fourth.

* On Monday, "Deal or No Deal" was #1 in adults 18-49, 18-34, 25-54 and total viewers, up 41 percent in 18-49 versus NBC's regular program 2005-06 season average for the time period prior to "Deal."

* Also on Monday, the penultimate episode of "The Apprentice 5" ranked #1 for the time period in the key demographic of adults 18-49 and tied for the #7 ranking for the week. NBC won Monday night in the key demographic of adults 18-49.

* NBC ranked #1 Wednesday night in adults 18-49, its third consecutive nightly victory in the demo, paced by a winning performance from an encore telecast of "Dateline NBC" at 8 p.m. and strong numbers from a "Deal or No Deal" rebroadcast at 9 p.m.

* On Friday, "Dateline NBC" tied for the time-period win in adults 18-49 to pace NBC to a nightlong victory in the 18-49 demo.

Excluding sports, 18-49 averages for the 2005-06 broadcast year to date are Fox (a 4.0 rating), CBS (3.7), ABC (3.6), NBC (3.1), WB (1.3), and UPN (1.2).

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of live only results through Dec. 25 and "live plus seven day" data since then, except for the two most recent weeks, which are live plus same day.

Additional NBC highlights for the week of May 29-June 4:

On Monday, May 29 from 8-9:02 p.m. ET, "Deal or No Deal" (4.1 rating, 13 share in adults 18-49, 13.8 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key measures. "Deal" increased its 18-49 rating by 42 percent from its first half-hour to its second (to a 4.7/14 from a 3.3/11). "Deal" was up by 41 percent in 18-49 rating versus NBC's regular program season average for the time period prior to "Deal" (4.1 vs. 2.9).

Monday from 9:02-10 p.m. ET, the penultimate episode of "The Apprentice 5" (3.5/9 in 18-49, 9.2 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in adults 18-49 and other key measures. "The Apprentice" tied Wednesday's edition of "Deal or No Deal" as the #7 program of the week in adults 18-49. At 10 p.m. Monday night, an encore "Medium" averaged a 2.3/6 in 18-49 and 6.6 million viewers overall.

On Tuesday, May 30 from 8-10 p.m. ET, the season premiere of "Last Comic Standing" (3.7/11 in 18-49, 8.6 million viewers overall) was the top-rated show of the night in 18-49, dominating its time period in that key demo, while also ranking #1 in adults 18-34, 25-54 and total viewers. "Last Comic" delivered NBC's highest non-Olympic 18-49 rating in this slot since Dec. 20, 2005 and topped every NBC rating in this time period last summer.

"Last Comic Standing" grew steadily throughout its two-hour telecast, increasing by 52 percent in adults 18-49 from its first half-hour to its fourth (to a 4.4/11 from a 2.9/9) and by 2.6 million viewers overall.

At 10 p.m. ET Tuesday, an encore "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (2.7/8 in 18-49, 8.5 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in adults 18-49 and 18-34.

NBC won Tuesday night in adults 18-49 and other key demographic categories.

On Wednesday, May 31, an encore telecast of "Dateline NBC" (2.7/9 in 18-49, 8.2 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures, topping, among other competition, the debut of CBS' "Gameshow Marathon."

At 9 p.m., an encore "Deal or No Deal" (3.5/10 in 18-49, 10.3 million viewers overall) finished within 0.1 rating point of the lead in 18-49 and won the hour in total viewers versus, among other competition, Fox's first-run "So You Think You Can Dance." The encore "Deal" grew in 18-49 rating by 33 percent from its first half-hour to its second (to a 4.0/12 from a 3.0/10). "Deal" was up by 30 percent in 18-49 rating versus NBC's regular program 2005-06 season average for the time period (3.5 vs. 2.7) and tied as the #7 program of the week in 18-49. At 10 p.m., an encore "Law & Order" (2.7/7 in 18-49, 8.3 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in 18-49 and #1 in 18-34.

On Thursday, June 1, NBC ran back-to-back encore telecasts of "The Office" from 8-10 p.m. ET and generated steady 18-49 growth throughout the two-hour block. At 8 p.m., "The Office" averaged a 1.9/6 in 18-49 and 4.6 million viewers overall. At 8:30 p.m., "The Office" delivered a 2.2/7 in 18-49 and 4.8 million viewers overall. At 9 p.m., "The Office" averaged a 2.4/7 in 18-49 and 4.8 million viewers overall. And at 9:30 p.m., "The Office" scored a 2.5/7 in 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall. At 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "ER" averaged a 2.1/6 in 18-49 and 5.3 million viewers overall.

On Friday, June 2 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.7/6 in 18-49, 6.6 million viewers overall) won the time period in adults 18-49 (tie), adults 25-54, total viewers and other key categories.

Also on Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of the season premiere of "Last Comic Standing" averaged a 1.8/6 in 18-49 and 4.5 million viewers overall. From its first hour to its second, the "Last Comic" rebroadcast increased its 18-49 rating by 18 percent (to a 2.0 from a 1.7).

NBC won Friday in adults 18-49, its 13th Friday win of the broadcast year.

On Sunday, June 4 from 7-9 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" averaged a 1.7/5 in 18-49 and 7.4 million viewers overall. Versus its 18-49 rating of one week earlier, "Dateline" was up 89 percent (1.7/5 vs. 0.9/4).

Sunday at 9 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" delivered a 1.9/5 in 18-49 and 7.6 million viewers overall. Versus its 18-49 rating of one week earlier, "Criminal Intent" was up 27 percent (1.9/5 vs. 1.5/5).

Also on Sunday at 10 p.m. ET, "Crossing Jordan" averaged a 2.0/5 in 18-49 and 8.0 million viewers overall. "Crossing Jordan" improved on its 18-49 lead-in by 5 percent and has now matched or built on its 18-49 lead-in with each of its last nine telecasts. Versus its 18-49 rating of one week earlier, "Jordan" was up 33 percent (2.0/5 vs. 1.5/5).
