GAYE HIRSCH JOINS THE CW AS VICE PRESIDENT, CURRENT PROGRAMMING

October 31, 2006 (Burbank, CA) - Gaye Hirsch has joined The CW as Vice President, Current Programming, it was announced today by Michael Roberts, Executive Vice President, Current Programming, The CW, to whom Hirsch will report.

Hirsch will oversee day-to-day production and act as liaison between the network and producers on various CW primetime series.

"In a TV world which is increasingly about big, new ideas, Gaye's feature film experience at both a studio and a major production company made her an ideal candidate to make the crossover to series television," said Roberts.

Previously, Hirsch served as a Senior Executive at Cruise/Wagner Productions since 2000, overseeing the development slate for Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner's production company. During her tenure there, she was a producer on "Shattered Glass" and "Suspect Zero." Prior to Cruise/Wagner, she was Vice President of Production for HBO Films, supervising the development and production of such Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning films as "Gia" and "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge."

Before HBO, Hirsch served as Vice President, Production at Robert Lawrence Productions. She began her career at Touchstone Pictures as a Creative Executive, ultimately becoming Vice President, Production.

Hirsch earned her MBA in entertainment management from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles. She earned her bachelor of science degree from Cornell University.
