TBS Orders Nine Additional Episodes of Critically Acclaimed Comedy Hit MY BOYS

Networks First Scripted Original Comedy Stars Jordana Spiro, Kyle Howard, Reid Scott, Michael Bunin, Jamie Kaler with Jim Gaffigan and Kellee Stewart

Initial-Order Finale to Air Thursday, Dec. 28, as Part of Special Holiday Week of Episodes

TBS has ordered nine additional episodes of the popular and critically acclaimed series MY BOYS, the networks first-ever original scripted comedy, according to an announcement by Michael Wright, senior vice president of original programming for TBS and TNT. The series stars Jordana Spiro (JAG, Must Love Dogs) and comes to TBS from Pariah and Two Out Rally Productions, Inc. in association with Sony Pictures Television. Writer and creator Betsy Thomas serves as executive producer, along with Jamie Tarses and Gavin Polone. MY BOYS will go back into production after the beginning of the year, with the additional episodes slated to premiere in Summer 2007.

Its understood that comedy is one of the most difficult forms of entertainment to do well, so its a great feeling to know that our first attempt at creating an original scripted comedy series has been so well-received, said Wright. MY BOYS airs with back-to-back episodes Tuesdays at 10 p.m. (ET/PT). As a special holiday treat for MY BOYS viewers, TBS is moving up the series initial-order finale, as well as two additional episodes, to the final week of December. The schedule calls for episodes 9 and 10 to air Tuesday, Dec. 26, at 10 p.m., with episodes 11 and 12 slated for Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 10 p.m., following the premiere of TBSs Funniest Commercials of the Year: 2006 special. The final episode of the shows initial order will air Thursday, Dec. 28, at 10 p.m.

MY BOYS explores what happens when PJ Franklin (Spiro), an unabashed, sports-loving girl, goes looking for romance, but finds that being one of the guys can put a crimp in her love life. The series co-stars Jim Gaffigan (That 70s Show, Ed), Kyle Howard (Related, Orange County), Reid Scott (American Dreams), Michael Bunin (Scrubs), Jamie Kaler (The Family Stone) and Kellee Stewart (Guess Who?).

TBSs first season of MY BOYS launched Tuesday, Nov. 28, and has quickly become ad-supported cables #1 original sitcom among adults 18-49, according to data from Nielsen Media Research. The series showed significant growth this past week and has been performing especially well in encore presentations. Episodes are also made available through VOD and TBSs Laugh Lab broadband video player at tbs.com following their premieres on the linear network.
