MTV UNVEILS UNIQUE DOCU-COMEDY SERIES "HOW'S YOUR NEWS?" PREMIERING FEBRUARY 8 AT 10:30PM (ET/PT)

Series Features Cast with Disabilities As They Spotlight Their Cross-Country

News, Music and Celebrity Interviews

Universal City, CA (January 9, 2009) Don't call them "mainstream media." MTV hands over the mic to the most outrageous and inspiring reporters ever. No filters. No boundaries. "How's Your News?," premiering February 8 at 10:30pm ET/PT -- as part of the Sunday night block of new series including "Nitro Circus," "The CollegeHumor Show" and "Rob Dydrek's Fantasy Factory" -- is a new series featuring a team of reporters with disabilities who drive across America in a customized tour bus documenting their experiences and laughs along the way.

"Our goal in bringing How's Your News' to television was to stay true to the spirit of their feature film and shorts that have gained a following of diehard fans through the years," said Tony DiSanto, Executive Vice President, Series Development and Programming, MTV. "You will fall in love with this incredible group of characters, as they take us on a journey through the country with a unique, comedic, and biting perspective into our lives and pop culture. Their enthusiasm is infectious, their honesty is refreshing and their sense of humor makes this show a truly new voice in comedy -- all while teaching us a thing or two along the way!"

"With MTV's history of taking chances and breaking new ground on television, the How's Your News?' team couldn't have found a better home for the show," said Arthur Bradford, Executive Producer. "The series is not just about reporters with disabilities; the cast honestly wants to provide the most entertaining half hour you can find anywhere. All of us -- the cast, their families, and the dedicated close-knit crew -- are very proud to have this group make it on their own terms in this a high-octane block of programming. It's a big moment for us."

"In the 10 years since we were introduced to the How's Your News?' crew, their unique perspective has made us smile even in our darkest and most troubled times," said Matt Stone and Trey Parker, Executive Producers. "We think How's Your News?' can do for the country what it has done for us."

During the course of the season, viewers will learn more about this unique cast and their infectious sense of humor through man-on-the-street interview segments, musical performances, behind-the-scenes interactions and celebrity interviews. The team of reporters takes viewers along for a wild ride with adventures, including covering the Grammy's red carpet, surfing with pro surfers, performing at the SXSW music festival, making cheese balls with Amy Sedaris and having John Stamos as a wingman.

"How's Your News?" began over ten years ago at a summer camp for people with disabilities. Director Arthur Bradford taught a video class there and began producing short films featuring reporters with disabilities who would enthusiastically interview people on the street. The shorts, with their unexpected blend of raw humor and sincerity, caught the eye of Matt Stone and Trey Parker of "South Park" fame. Stone and Parker executive produced a feature film that followed five reporters on a road trip across America, which was widely embraced and won several film festival awards. Since its inception in 1998, "How's Your News?" has built an passionate cult following with the release of three previous documentaries and a CD of soundtrack music performed by the cast.

"How's Your News?" is executive produced by Arthur Bradford, Matt Stone and Trey Parker. The concept is by Arthur Bradford and Chad Urmston. Jen Ollman serves as Supervising Producer. Chris Linn is executive producer and MTV executive in charge of production.
