NEW YORK, NY - April 2, 2009 - Two-time Emmy winner Kathy Griffin will make viewers laugh until they cry in a series of upcoming specials, and with the premiere of a brand new season of her Emmy-winning hit series "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List." Griffin's sixth original comedy special for Bravo, "Kathy Griffin: She'll Cut a Bitch," premieres Wednesday, April 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, prior to Bravo's second annual "The A-List Awards."
Before a sold-old crowd at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, Oregon, Griffin recounts her latest surreal adventures including a visit with Cher in which she does her very best not to "queen out" on her idol. Fans also delight in Griffin's latest update on her 88-year-old mother Maggie, who these days is constantly using "the age card." She dishes on her 2008 Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album and her adventures at the "Schmammy's," or the non-televised Grammy pre-telecast ceremony where her category was presented. Then Griffin talks about her beloved "Schmemmy's," the Emmy Award ceremony that presents her Best Reality Show category for "My Life on the D-List." But an encounter with a competing nominee turns ugly and the rival quickly learns to not get in her way because "she will cut a bitch."
