THE BOX (A&E, New!) - "Homicide: Life on the Street" alums Tom Fontana and Barry Levinson have landed a half-hour cop drama at the cable channel which follows "a small ensemble of detectives as they interrogate the key suspect or witness in a case." Fontana will pen two scripts for the potential project, which takes place largely within the walls of the interrogation room, and executive produce alongside Levinson via their The Levinson/Fontana Co. Arvin Brown and George Stelzner are also on board as producers. (Deadline.com)


MAINE (The CW, New!) - "One Tree Hill" creator Mark Schwahn has booked a potential drama at the netlet about "an inn in Maine and revolves around the staff and the inn's guests." Said hour is set up at Warner Bros. Television with Bad Robot's J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk also serving as executive producers alongside Schwahn and his Mastermind Laboratories banner. UNTITLED ALAN YANG PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Alan Yang ("Parks & Recreation") has snagged a script commitment from the Peacock for a new animated comedy about "a group of twentysomething guys sharing a house in Los Angeles' upscale community of Hancock Park." Said half-hour is set up at the Universal Television-based Deedle-Dee Productions with Greg Daniels and Howard Klein executive produce alongside Yang. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED MINDY KALING PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Mindy Kaling ("The Office") has sold a new animated comedy to the Peacock about a girls high-school volleyball team. She'll write and executive produce the hour, as well as voice a character, alongside Greg Daniels and Howard Klein's Universal Television-based Deedle-Dee Productions. (Deadline.com)
