Adventure Ends for Tribune's 'InC.'
By Brian Ford Sullivan (TFC)

CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- Head writer Ethlie Anne Vare has confirmed via her web site that Tribune's syndicated drama "Adventure, Inc." will not return for a second season:

For those of you who came to this site because you were fans of ADVENTURE INC., I'm sorry to report that the action series starring Michael Biehn will not be back for a second season. International co-productions are a challenge at the best of times, and this one was a doozy, produced in Canada, England and France while being written in America. Making television is, at the best of times, like doing origami wearing mittens. In this case, it was like doing origami wearing while playing hopscotch blindfolded. Under the circumstances, I'm delighted we completed 22 episodes and am wildly proud of my writing staff and the hardworking crew.

Through February sweeps, "Adventure" was averaging a 2.0 rating in first-run syndication, tied with NBC Enterprises' "She Spies" but behind Tribune's other series "Andromeda" (2.2) and "Mutant X" (2.3) as well as MGM's "Stargate SG-1" (2.5).

You can read Vare's complete message by clicking here.

Special thanks to Meg Lahey for her help on this story.
