CMT ANNOUNCES PREMIERE DATE FOR SEASON SEVEN OF "THE LAST COWBOY"

The Fan-Favorite Series From Taylor Sheridan Returns On Friday, November 6 At 8pm ET/PT

October 29, 2026 (New York, NY) - Today, CMT announced the return of the fan-favorite series, The Last Cowboy. Season seven will premiere on Friday, November 6 at 8pm ET/PT with six episodes. Episodes will be available next-day on CMT VOD and the first six seasons are available on Paramount+.

From Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan, The Last Cowboy is a documentary series that takes viewers inside the elite Western equine sports of reining, cutting and cow horse. The series follows the top riders in these disciplines as they prepare for Sheridan's "The Run for a Million," the biggest and most prestigious event in Western equine sports. This season, the road to the big stage runs through Sheridan's own Bosque Ranch, which is now home to the reining qualifier. With an unprecedented $1 million prize purse, the event draws the best competitors in the world and fans from across the globe to see who will take home the richest prize in the sport.

Featured riders of this season of The Last Cowboy include:

Andrea Fappani: Andrea is the first reiner to pass $10 million in lifetime earnings, but he's still chasing the one title he's never won.

Kole Price: After years of falling just short, Kole fought his way back to the RFAM last year, and now he's on a roll and out to win back the championship he took in 2021.

Gabriel Borges: Gabriel has unfinished business at the RFAM after tying for 4th the last time he was in.

Gina Schumacher: Gina came within one stop of winning it all two years ago, and she's back for a third try as a new mom.

Jordan Williams: Jordan is a cow horse rider who just won the World's Greatest Horseman and he's ready to take on the biggest stage in the sport.

Erin Taormino: Erin, one of the most consistent riders in cow horse, is back for her fifth RFAM, still looking for the win that got away since finishing reserve champion in 2024.
