NBC Burns Off 'Shoot' on Saturdays
By Brian Ford Sullivan (TFC)

CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- NBC is set to burn off the remaining installments of its veteran comedy "Just Shoot Me" next month. Back-to-back episodes of the series are set to run Saturdays at 8:00/7:00c beginning July 12. The Peacock has 11 episodes of the long running comedy still in the can.

The news marks an unceremonious end to a disastrous season for the comedy. After thriving on Thursday nights during its previous season, NBC banked on the comedy to kickoff its sagging Tuesday night lineup in fall 2002. The series went on to be pulled in January after disastrous ratings only to see a return effort in April fail after just one week.
