ABC Bumps 'L.A. Dragnet,' Sets 'Bachelorette' Wedding
By Brian Ford Sullivan (TFC)

CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC has pushed back the premiere of its revamped series "L.A. Dragnet" to Saturday, October 4 at 10:00/9:00c. The news was confirmed via press release by the network:

Due to the expanded broadcast length of the network television premiere of "Remember the Titans," which is airing as the season premiere of "The Wonderful World of Disney" SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, the season premiere of "L.A. Dragnet" has been pushed to SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET).

"Dragnet" will be paired with the broadcast premiere of "Lilo & Stitch" on October 4.

Meanwhile, ABC has scheduled the debut of "Trista and Ryan's Weddding," a limited series chronicling the preparations for "Bachelorette" star Trista Rehn's wedding to Ryan Sutter. The four-hour series kicks off Wednesday, November 26 at 9:00/8:00c, the final Wednesday of the November sweeps period. Additional installments are set to air December 3 and December 10 (both at 9:00/8:00c) with the latter being two hours.

While the couple has yet to announce when exactly the nuptials will take place, the pair will receive a total of $1 million from AND Syndicated Productions, the company behind the show, provided they go through with the ceremony. As part of the pact, Rehn and Sutter have agreed to hand over the majority of the planning to the producers.
