Comedy Central Keeps 'Reno' for Second Season

CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- Comedy Central has picked up its freshman comedy "Reno 911!" for a second season of 13 episodes. The new installments are expected to bow in the second quarter of 2004.

The series, which airs Wednesdays at 10:30/9:30c, opened to 2.2 million total viewers (1.5 million of which fell into the key adults 18-49 demographic) on July 23 and has remained one of the network's most watched programs. The half-hour "Cops" spoof stars Thomas Lennon, Robert Ben Garant and Kerri Kenney and is produced by Jersey Television, in association with Comedy Central.
