Home-Improvement Competitors Turn Outdated Estate into Castle in TBSs New Reality Series THE MANSION, Premiering Oct. 2

Hyundai Motor America, E-Loan, Intel and Reckitt Benckiser To Sponsor

TBS, televisions very funny network, is upping the ante on home-renovation with THE MANSION, a new original reality competition series in which eight supercharged competitors will renovate a Cincinnati mansion that one of them will eventually get to keep. THE MANSION, hosted by Mark L. Walberg (Temptation Island), comes to TBS from Evolution Film & Tape, Inc. (Fear Factor, Big Brother), with Douglas Ross (Fear Factor), Dean Minerd (Clean Sweep), Greg Stewart (King of the Jungle) and Kathleen French (Switched, Bands Reunited) serving as executive producers. THE MANSION is set to premiere on TBS Saturday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m. (ET/PT).

THE MANSION is set in Cincinnati in an outdated estate in need of repair. Enter eight amateur home remodelers determined to turn the mansion into a paradise and walk away with the keys. For the next seven weeks, the eight competitors will live in and work together on the house, one project at a time. Before beginning each challenge, the renovators will elect one competitor to serve as project foreman. That person will lead the group to complete the project, juggling assignments, making tough decisions, managing the budget, distributing the project paychecks and trying to maintain group cohesiveness in the face of mounting deadlines and flaring tempers. THE MANSION will culminate with TBS viewers voting to award one of the eight competitors the keys to the newly renovated dream house.

TBS and Evolution film & Tape, Inc. conducted a nationwide open casting call to find the eight competitors for THE MANSION. Here are the chosen ones who will vie for the deed to the estate:

Sandi: This 28-year-old from Upland, Calif., owns and operates her own car-detailing business. In her spare time, she coaches cheerleading. Sandi is skilled in interior painting, tiling, sewing, furniture refurbishing, gardening, landscaping and wood staining.

Michele: A 30-year-old teacher from Brooklyn, Michele is a perfectionist when it comes to decorating. Her skills include painting, dry walling, interior design, sewing, gardening and grouting.

Amanda: At 28, Amanda is a single mom from New York who has earned success as a safety coordinator. Among her home-improvement skills are decorating, painting, tiling, gardening, sewing and reupholstering.

Kim: A 39-year-old grandmother of twins, Kim lives life with a spark that is second to none. This unpredictable childrens hospital coordinator from Rising Sun, Indiana, is skilled in interior design, painting, plumbing, electrical work, tiling, gardening and structure modifications.

Dan: This vivacious 28-year-old from Strasburg, Pa., is a theatrical performer who freaks at the first sign of confrontation. His skills include interior design and faux finishing.

Elvis: From his impressions of The King to his crazy bowling shirts, 31-year-old Elvis from Willoughby, Ohio, is certain to keep the laughs rolling. This electrical engineer is skilled in electrical wiring, interior painting, carpentry, dry walling, tiling, masonry, grouting and design.

Jeff: Home improvements version of Russell Crowe, Jeff is a handsome 34-year-old salesman from Cincinnati. This highly motivated, extremely well-rounded tool man is skilled in painting, crown molding and dry-walling.
