Acie Is Named the 'Ultimate Player' on the Finale of UPN's Reality Series 'The Player'

[via press release from UPN]

ACIE IS NAMED THE "ULTIMATE PLAYER" ON THE FINALE OF UPN'S REALITY SERIES "THE PLAYER"

Houston Native Takes Home The Prize

Acie, from Houston, took the title of the ultimate player last night on the finale of UPN's reality show THE PLAYER, while JJ, from Scottsdale, Ariz., was given his final walking papers.

As the only two guys left, JJ and Acie had one last chance to impress Dawn on their final solo dates. Once again, the charming Acie scored points during some one-on-one time with Dawn, who was left feeling an extremely strong connection to him. Not so lucky was JJ, who claimed to do his best and stay true to his heart, but in the end, Dawn was disappointed, not feeling he was his usual vibrant self. So when elimination time came around, Dawn just didnt feel JJ was at the top of his game and named Acie as the ultimate player."

But the game wasnt over there as the player operator called with another twist. Acie was given one minute to decide if he wanted to stay with Dawn or remain a player. He admitted to Dawn that while he really liked her, he couldnt give up his lifestyle just for her. She was happy with his decision to act like the true player she thought he was. Then, to their surprise, the player operator revealed his identity. Boston Rob from Survivor: All Stars drove up to the house in a tricked out Cadillac Escalade and handed Acie the keys as his prize for winning the game. Without hesitation, Acie jumped right in, but before he left, he asked Dawn if she wanted to come along. She happily got in the car, and the two drove away together.

THE PLAYER follows a cultural cross-section of guys who find themselves living together in a palatial mansion in South Florida with Dawn and her two beautiful girlfriends. Throughout the hot spots of South Beach and Miami, these self-proclaimed "masters of the opposite sex" will attempt to win over Dawn, with the approval of her girlfriends, as they are thrust into a variety of scenarios with the possibility of sudden death eliminations. By using all of their best dating tactics and interpersonal skills, they must prove themselves worthy of being selected as Dawn's ultimate player and hopefully not hear her dismiss them with the fateful phrase, "Don't hate the player, hate the game."
