ESPN and Omaha Productions announce ESPN Original Series "The Breakdown" hosted by Peyton Manning and Luke Kuechly

· Hall of Famers Peyton Manning and Luke Kuechly bring their legendary preparation and football IQ inside the film room

· New episodes debut Fridays on the ESPN App, beginning with previews of select marquee Monday Night Football matchups

· Series continues through the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl LXI, with featured matchups including Cowboys-Eagles, Patriots-Chiefs, Chargers-Ravens and more

ESPN today announced The Breakdown with Peyton and Kuechly, an ESPN Original Series produced in partnership with Omaha Productions and NFL Films that brings Pro Football Hall of Famers Peyton Manning and Luke Kuechly inside the film room to preview some of the biggest upcoming Monday Night Football games and matchups of the NFL season.

New episodes will debut Fridays on the ESPN App, with select episodes also airing on ESPN. Across 11 episodes, Manning and Kuechly will combine their perspectives from opposite sides of the ball to break down the strategy, preparation and key storylines ahead of marquee NFL matchups. The first eight episodes will preview select Monday Night Football games throughout the regular season, followed by editions surrounding the Wild Card and Divisional rounds of the NFL playoffs. The series will conclude with an episode previewing Super Bowl LXI, ESPN's first Super Bowl production.

Known throughout their careers for their meticulous preparation and command of the game, Manning and Kuechly will use game film to highlight key players and matchups, identify tendencies and explain the decisions that can shape a game before the ball is even snapped.

The Wild Card and Divisional Round editions will feature postseason matchups outside of Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli, while the final episode will take viewers inside the film surrounding Super Bowl LXI.

Year of the Super Bowl

The Breakdown with Peyton and Kuechly is part of ESPN's "Year of the Super Bowl," a yearlong initiative developed with Disney and the NFL that brings together programming, storytelling, marketing and fan experiences across ESPN, ABC and Disney platforms and destinations, all building toward ESPN's first Super Bowl production.

The celebration began immediately following Super Bowl LX with "The Handoff," a 24-hour, multi-platform event symbolically connecting Super Bowl LX at Levi's Stadium to Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium. Throughout the 2026-27 NFL season, ESPN and Disney will continue to spotlight the road to Super Bowl LXI through programming, storytelling and experiences surrounding key moments on the NFL calendar.

Super Bowl LXI will take place February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and air on ESPN and ABC, marking ESPN's first production of the Super Bowl.
