"AMERICA'S MOST WANTED: AMERICA FIGHTS BACK" CAPTURES FUGITIVES RASON HORTON AND DARRYL WILLIAMS

AMW Reaches 807 Captures

AMERICA'S MOST WANTED: AMERICA FIGHTS BACK has taken down two accused murderers on the same day. Tips from AMW viewers resulted in the arrest of fugitives Rason Horton and Darryl Williams. They are the program's 806th and 807th fugitives captured as a direct result of the show.

Accused murderer Rason Horton was captured just two days after being profiled on AMW's Sept. 18 episode. That night, the hotline lit up with tips from callers in New Mexico, reporting that they had seen Horton in Albuquerque within the past few days. Tips led cops to a motel in Albuquerque.

Although FBI agents had just missed him at the motel, the big break came when Horton called his probation officer on Monday, Sept. 20, his 21st birthday. He was apparently trying to learn more about the warrants against him, but police tracked him down at a restaurant near the motel. Horton's birthday present was a trip to the Bernalillo County Detention Center. He was to be arraigned yesterday on charges including homicide, armed robbery, felony firearms and carjacking.

Another AMW fugitive, Darryl Williams, who was wanted for the murder of two Philadelphia teens, turned himself in to police yesterday. Williams was profiled on AMERICA'S MOST WANTED on Sept. 11. Soon after, detectives got a call from a local lawyer on Williams' behalf. After being featured on the show, Williams was feeling the heat and detectives say his family was pressuring him to turn himself in. After negotiating with Upper Darby detectives and retaining a lawyer, Williams surrendered to authorities.

In addition to being wanted for the brutal murder of Jamie Durham and Juwaun Ellis on April 15, 2004, Williams was also wanted for questioning in regard to the February robbery and murder of another Philadelphia man. Williams is currently being processed by the Upper Darby Police Department and negotiating with the DA's office.

AMERICA'S MOST WANTED: AMERICA FIGHTS BACK, now in its 18th season, airs Saturdays (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. AMERICA'S MOST WANTED: AMERICA FIGHTS BACK is produced by STF Productions, Inc. Lance Heflin is executive producer.
