AMERICAN DAD Short to Premiere Before "Fever Pitch" in Theaters Nationwide

AMERICAN DAD: INSIDE THE CIA, a never-before-seen short, will run exclusively before the film "Fever Pitch," starring Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon, beginning Friday, April 8. The three-minute short, which is a take-off on CIA training films from the '50s, will screen in its entirety in approximately 3,000 theaters nationwide. AMERICAN DAD premieres Sunday, May 1 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX

The animated comedy series revolves around STAN SMITH (Seth MacFarlane, "Family Guy"), a CIA agent based in Langley Falls, VA, who is an undisputed weapons expert and proud family man. The Smith family includes Stan's sweet, Edith Bunker-esque wife, FRANCINE (Wendy Schaal); his ultra-liberal 18-year-old daughter, HAYLEY (Rachael MacFarlane); and his geeky 13-year-old son, STEVE (Scott Grimes). Their household is rounded out by two rather unconventional members: ROGER (Seth MacFarlane), the sarcastic space alien Stan rescued from Area 51; and KLAUS (Dee Bradley Baker), a lascivious, German-speaking goldfish � the result of a CIA experiment gone seriously wrong. This eccentric family full of radically different personalities is just trying to find a way to love and trust each other during these increasingly stressful times. And with a guy like Stan doing his best to make America safer, it's bound to be a hilarious ride.

"Fever Pitch" is a contemporary romantic comedy about a successful woman (Drew Barrymore) who thinks she's finally met the perfect guy (Jimmy Fallon). Everything seems ideal until baseball season begins and she has to compete with his first true love: the Boston Red Sox. "Fever Pitch" is a 20th Century Fox production. The film is directed by Peter Farrelly & Bobby Farrelly and written by Lowell Ganz & Babaloo Mandel, based on the book by Nick Hornby.

AMERICAN DAD is a 20th Century Fox Television production. Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker and Matt Weitzman serve as co-creators and executive producers.
