Midori Presents Queer As Folk Ancient Babylon Tour Showtime Networks and Embrace Productions Announce Dates

New York, NY, April 11, 2005 -- Showtime Networks, along with Embrace Productions, announce details of the upcoming "Midori presents Queer As Folk Ancient Babylon Tour" to be held this summer. A landmark series that changed the landscape of television when it premiered five years ago, QUEER AS FOLK, which focuses on the lives of five gay men and two lesbians in Pittsburgh, will return for its fifth and final season on SHOWTIME on Sunday, May 22 at 10:00 PM (ET/PT). The series stars Michelle Clunie, Robert Gant, Thea Gill, Gale Harold, Randy Harrison, Scott Lowell, Peter Paige, Hal Sparks and Sharon Gless.

The "Midori presents Queer As Folk Ancient Babylon Tour" takes place summer 2005 at nightclubs across North America. In each venue, Showtime Networks and Embrace Productions reinterpret what Babylon (the famous nightclub from the Queer As Folk television series), would look like as the birthplace of decadence, the ancient city of Babylonia, in the year 200 BC.

"Midori presents Queer As Folk Ancient Babylon Tour" builds on the momentum of the highly successful Queer As Folk The Babylon Tour of 2003, and "Midori Presents Queer As Folk Future Babylon Tour" of 2004 which achieved 90% capacity crowds, boasting over 40,000 patrons in attendance each year.

Featuring the hottest talent, Ancient Babylon Tour's DJs include Superstars Abel, Manny Lehman, and Roland Belmares. Each tour date showcases 'Ancient Babylon' inspired dcor and performances by Miami's RKM.

Fans get to live the Queer As Folk experience first hand by partying with some of the show's actors who will make guest appearances throughout the Tour. Fans have much to look forward to as Scott Lowell, Robert Gant and Hal Sparks all appeared during 2004's Tour.

Tour information can be found via the brand new interactive website, www.ancientbabylontour.com.
