QUICK TAKE

MARK CONSUELOS RETURNS AS A GUEST STAR ON ABC'S POPULAR COMEDY "HOPE & FAITH"

Mark Consuelos, co-star of the television series "Missing," will return as a guest star on the third season premiere of ABC's "Hope & Faith." Consuelos reprises his role from last season as former baseball star Gary 'The Gooch' Gucharez, who left Glen Falls to play ball in Japan after beginning a romance with Faith, portrayed by Kelly Ripa. Consuelos and Ripa are married in real life.

In the season-ending story arc, the Gooch suddenly returned to rekindle his budding relationship with Faith. However Larry, a handsome TV news anchor who fell for Faith when she did a substitute stint as the weatherperson at his station, gave the Gooch some real competition. When both men wanted exclusivity, she tried everything from "Bachelorette" competition rules to a psychic's advice to help her choose. Then, when both the romantic newscaster and the sexy baseball star proposed marriage simultaneously, a thoroughly confused Faith fainted. Now, in the premiere episode of the new season, Faith must decide whose wife she really wants to be.

Consuelos can be seen in theatrical feature "The Great Raid," which will be released August 12. The film is an inspiring drama that tells the true story of a daring rescue mission during World War II.

Hope & Faith" stars Kelly Ripa as Faith, Faith Ford as Hope, Ted McGinley as Charley, Megan Fox as Sydney, Macey Cruthird as Hayley and Paulie Litt as Justin.
