Cartoon Network Teams with Kelloggs NASCARtoon Racing and Hot Wheels REV-UPS for High Speed On-Pack Back-to-School Promotion

Cartoon Network-Branded Cars to Race Aug. 26-27 at Bristol Motor Speedway to Encourage Kids to Collect Exclusive Hot Wheels NASCARtoon Racing REV-UPS Racecars from Mattel

Cartoon Network is joining forces with Kelloggs NASCARtoon Racing to offer NASCARs youngest racing fans the opportunity to collect up to six exclusive Hot Wheels NASCARtoon Racing REV-UPS racecars. Hot Wheels REV-UPS use Magna Trax Technology to climb steel surfaces with ease. Fans who send in four proof-of-purchases from 11 different participating Kelloggs cereals will receive one of the select Hot Wheels REV-UPS racecars, which feature such popular Cartoon Network programs as Scooby-Doo (car #25), Codename: Kids Next Door (car #53), Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends (car #63), Johnny Bravo (car #5), The Powerpuff Girls (car #56) and Dexters Laboratory (car #86). The campaign will officially launch Aug. 26-27 at the Busch and Nextel NASCAR races at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee where three full-size Cartoon Network-branded cars will compete for the checkered flag. This exclusive self-liquidating offer is presented now through Sept. 30, 2006, or while supplies last.

NASCAR enjoys perhaps the largest and most diverse fan base of any sport today, from young children to grandparents, said Phyllis Ehrlich, senior vice president, promotions marketing for Cartoon Network Sales and Marketing. Kids are always looking for ways they can imagine their own NASCAR adventures, so this on-pack promotion with Kellogg provides a timely opportunity for them to collect six different play-size models that reflect the full-size cars they see at the track or on television. And in addition to the cars themselves, pit crews for each NASCARtoon Racing car will be outfitted in custom-themed Kelloggs NASCARtoon Racing gear showcasing their individual Cartoon Network character.

Kids can receive one free Hot Wheels NASCARtoon Racing REV-UPS and a 13-inch piece of track by mailing four UPC proof-of-purchases and the official order form from specially-marked packages of Kelloggs cereal. Participating cereal brands for the NASCARtoon promotion include Kelloggs Frosted Flakes, Kelloggs Frosted Mini-Wheats, Bite-Size Mini-Wheats and Mini-Wheats Frosted Maple and Brown Sugar, Kelloggs Raisin Bran and Raisin Bran Crunch, Kelloggs Crispix and Cinnamon Crunch Crispix, Kelloggs Corn Flakes, Kelloggs Smorz and Kelloggs Scooby-Doo Berry Bones. Kids can collect all six cars and track pieces, then connect the pieces to form their own flexible track. Complete details of the promotion can be found at www.kelloggs.com/nascartoons/coolcars.

The Friday, Aug. 26 NASCAR Busch Race from Bristol Motor Speedway will spotlight retailer Dollar Generals car #34depicting a NASCARtoon Racing and Dexters Laboratory paint schemeto be driven by Todd Bodine. An ongoing in-store sweepstakes through August 31 will reward the grand prize winner with a Dexters Laboratory Chevrolet Monte Carlo at the Dollar General 300 race in October.

On Saturday, Aug. 27, Hendricks Motor Sports cars #5 and #25 will run in the NASCAR Nextel race featuring NASCARtoon Racing paint schemes of Johnny Bravo and Scooby-Doo, respectively. Kyle Busch will drive the #5 Johnny Bravo car, and Brian Vickers will drive the #25 Scooby-Doo car. This race will be presented on TNT at 7 p.m. (ET).
