CBS.COM TO STREAM EPISODES OF NEW SUSPENSE DRAMA "THRESHOLD"

"Threshold" Marks the First Time CBS.com Has Offered Rebroadcasts of Entertainment Programming On the Internet CBS.com, the official website of the CBS Television Network, will stream three episodes of the new suspense drama THRESHOLD, beginning today Wednesday, Nov. 2.

This will mark the first time CBS.com has offered episodes of scripted series programming on the Internet via free video streaming. The THRESHOLD rebroadcasts will be available on CBS.com to Internet users in the United States and be presented without commercials.

The initial offering will be episode three of THRESHOLD entitled "Blood of the Children" (original airdate 9/23/05), available during a three-day window on CBS.com from Nov. 2-4. This Friday's (11/4) broadcast will be available for streaming from Nov. 9-11 while next week's broadcast (11/11) will be available from Nov. 16-18.

"We continue to seek and identify new ways in which traditional media and new media can work together to help each other's respective businesses," said Nancy Tellem, President of the CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group. "The goal here is to recruit new viewers to 'Threshold,' help existing viewers catch up if they've missed some episodes and drive more traffic to CBS.com."

"This marks another exciting step forward as we continue to expand our content franchises to broadband," said Larry Kramer, President, CBS Digital Media. "'Threshold' is an exciting new drama with a compelling mystery component that lends itself to Internet audience appeal. In addition, these rebroadcasts on CBS.com will serve as an ideal companion to the unique behind-the-scenes material we also feature for 'Threshold,' as well as a great programming complement to the slate of original programming we have on the site based on 'Survivor,' 'The Amazing Race' and UPN's 'Top Model.'"

Through the first six weeks of the new season, THRESHOLD ranks Number One in its Friday (9:00-10:00 PM) time period in adults 25-54 (3.0/08) and Number Two in viewers and adults 18-49 (2.2/07), averaging almost eight million viewers per episode. Carla Gugino stars as Dr. Molly Anne Caffrey, a government contingency analyst whose job is to devise response plans for worst-case scenarios. In a single instant, her life changes when her plan for responding to an alien invasion THRESHOLD is activated by the government.
