MATH AND SCIENCE COLLIDE WHEN "BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY" GUEST STARS ON "NUMB3RS"
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 5 -- "Bill Nye the Science Guy" demonstrates how math and science work together when he guest stars on NUMB3RS, Friday, Dec. 16 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Nye portrays a professor in the Engineering Department of Cal Sci who helps Charlie (David Krumholtz) and Dr. Larry Fleinhart (Peter MacNicol) recreate a backdraft in order to help the FBI determine who has been starting a series of deadly fires in Los Angeles.
"We're thrilled to have Bill Nye as a guest star on NUMB3RS," says Executive Producer and Co-Creator Cheryl Heuton. "His show, 'Bill Nye the Science Guy' proved that TV could entertain while explaining principles of science -- and do it in a format that children, teens and adults enjoyed. Bill's tireless dedication to boosting math and science education in America has been a great example to us as well. For many of our viewers, the idea that math can be fun and cool isn't a new idea -- they learned it first from Bill."
