The Boondocks Begins 2006 with 2nd Best Delivery Ever among Adults 18-34, Outperforming Its Series-to-Date Average by Strong Double-Digit Gains

Episode Ranks #7 for the Week on Basic Cable Among Adults 18-34; Most-watched Series� Episode Since Nov. 13

Adult Swim Also Ranks #1 for the Week for Total Day Delivery of Adults 18-24, Men 18-24

Proving its performance legs nine weeks out from its series debut, The Boondocks (Sunday, Jan. 8, 11 p.m. ET/PT) on Adult Swim scored its second-highest ratings and delivery among adults 18-34 and men 18-34, the animated series� best performance since Nov. 13, according to preliminary date from Nielsen Media Research. The provocative new show from comic artist and series creator Aaron McGruder ranked #1 in its time period on basic cable in delivery of adults and men 18-34 as well as adults, men, and women 18-24. It also ranked #7 on the list of ad-supported basic cable�s top 50 shows of the week among adults 18-34 and #6 among men 18-34. Compared to the series-to-date average on Sundays at 11 p.m., The Boondocks telecast outperformed across all target adult demos by significant double digits.

Additionally, Adult Swim ranked #1 for the week for delivery of adults 18-24 and men 18-24 among all ad-supported cable networks. The late-night service also ranked #2 in delivery of adults 18-34 (behind Nick-at-Nite) and #1 in delivery of men 18-34.

Highlights of The Boondocks� Jan. 8 presentation vs. its series-to-date average, as well as Adult Swim�s overall performance, include the following:

The Boondocks (Sunday, 11 p.m.)

- Adults 18-34 delivery (996,000) increased by 24%, and ratings (1.5) by 25%

- Adults 18-24 delivery (583,000) improved by 25%, and ratings (2.1) by 24%

- Men 18-34 delivery (644,000) grew by 27%, and ratings (1.9) by 27%

- Men 18-24 delivery (373,000) expanded by 22%, and ratings (2.7) by 23%

- Women 18-24 delivery (210,000) jumped by 32% , and ratings (1.5) by 36%

ADULT SWIM (Monday-Thursday, Saturday, 11 p.m.-6 a.m., Sunday, 10 p.m.-6 a.m.)

- Adults 18-34 delivery totaled 356,000 and an 0.5 rating

- Adults 18-24 delivery totaled 212,000 and an 0.8 rating

- Men 18-34 delivery totaled 222,000 and an 0.7 rating

- Men 18-24 delivery totaled 137,000 and a 1.0 rating

- Adults 18-49 delivery totaled 438,000 and an 0.3 rating�ranked #8 among all ad-supported basic cable

The Boondocks tells the story of Huey and Riley, two kids who move from Chicago�s South Side to the suburbs with their granddad, Robert Jebediah Freeman. In moving to the quiet and safety of �The Boondocks��a.k.a. suburban Woodcrest�it�s Granddad�s hope that he can ignore his rambunctious grandkids and enjoy the fourth quarter of his life in peace. But Huey, a 10-year-old leftist revolutionary, and his 8-year-old misfit brother, Riley, don�t adapt to the new environment as well as expected.
