[via press release from Bravo]

SHE'S BAAAAAACK! KATHY GRIFFIN IS BACK IN ALL HER D-LIST GLORY WITH THE SECOND SEASON PREMIERE OF 'KATHY GRIFFIN: MY LIFE ON THE D-LIST,' TUESDAY, JUNE 6 AT 9:00 P.M. ET/PT ON BRAVO

NEW YORK - April 26, 2006 -- Talented comic Kathy Griffin may be a perpetual D-Lister, but she still gets her props for the anticipated second season return of the hit Bravo series "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List" on Tuesday, June 6 (9:00 - 10:00 p.m. ET/PT). It's time for an all-new eclectic mix of adventures with Kathy as she revels in her latest D-list drama, which will unfold over six uncontrollable and unscripted one-hour episodes, airing Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m.

"Bravo viewers love Kathy and do appreciate her unapologetic and spirited portrayal of celebrity life," said Frances Berwick, Senior Vice President of Programming and Production, Bravo. "Kathy Griffin's life on the D-list shows us the comic underbelly of Hollywood, revealing intriguing and hilarious insights into the celebrity food chain."

Kathy continues to go down swinging in all-new episodes that will chronicle the latest of her D-List indignities. This season Kathy auctions herself on eBay, endures hellish moments with her personal trainer and nutritionist, hires a dog trainer in an attempt to get Chance and Pom-Pom under control, attends a gay prom, baby sits for her niece and nephew, takes her parents away for a luxury weekend, goes ice skating with Olympian Johnny Weir, and tours the Red States. But in the end, Kathy just wants the same things any hard working Hollywood celeb crawling to the top wants: the love of throngs of devoted screaming fans.

One of the more exciting moments during the season is when Kathy travels to Iraq to entertain the troops at various camps. She wins soldiers over at every stop with her no-holds-barred humor, and is won over herself by the courageous young men and women who welcome her with open arms. As if suddenly vaulted to the A-List, Kathy is even granted her own gun-toting escorts for the journey. Kathy also encounters hard-working Army dogs in Kuwait, who were noticeably better trained than Pom-Pom.

Kathy navigates life with a self-deprecating sense of humor and the support of a motley crew, including her devoted husband Matt, who returns for the new season as he and Kathy work on their marriage. Through it all, Matt always remains at Kathy's side and supports her endeavors, even when she's battling some of the more agonizing aspects of life on the D-List. This season will also see the return of some of Griffin's "peeps" including her assistant, Jessica and her parents John and Maggie Griffin.

Six, one-hour episodes of Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List were produced for Bravo by Picture This Productions. The series is executive produced by Marcia Mule, Brian Scott, Lisa M. Tucker, and Kathy Griffin.
