Gabby Reece Hosts 'Life's A Beach' Memorial Day Weekend Programming Festival On LIFETIME Television Saturday, May 27 From 11AM-5PM (ET/PT) During Special Encore of Acclaimed Drama Series 'Beach Girls' Starring Rob Lowe and Julia Ormond

NEW YORK, May 9 -- Beach volleyball legend and fitness expert Gabby Reece (recently named new health editor at Yahoo) kicks off Summer 2006 on LIFETIME Television when she hosts a special Memorial Day weekend programming festival highlighted by an encore presentation of the network's smash hit "Beach Girls."

As on-air host Saturday, May 27 during the "Beach Girls" marathon (airing 11AM-5PM, ET/PT), Reece provides beachgoers with a wide variety of health, beauty and fitness tips, such as yoga positions which can be used while never leaving the sanctity of a beach blanket; myths about getting in shape; which moisturizers work the best; the truth about sun block; the trick to diving into the ocean without getting crushed in a wave, and how to play beach volleyball.

To accompany the stunt, Lifetimetv.com offers a week-long online menu of diet and fitness tips along with a picture of Reece, her bio and links to her personal web site GoToGabby.com.

The six-part, critically-acclaimed "Beach Girls," which starred Rob Lowe, Julia Ormond and Cloris Leachman, chronicled the intertwining lives and loves of summer visitors and residents of the coastal town of Hubbard's Point. When "Beach Girls" premiered on Lifetime last July, it became the network's most watched original drama premiere ever.

Lifetime's Memorial Day weekend programming continues on Sunday, May 28 at 5PM (ET/PT) when Cybill Shepherd and Annabeth Gish star in "Arthur Hailey's Detective, " about a battle of wits between a Catholic priest, who now investigates for the police, and a convicted serial killer. The following night on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29 at 9PM (ET/PT), Poppy Montgomery stars in "Between," where a woman plunges into the shadowy world of Tijuana's underground in a desperate attempt to find her missing sister.

The weekend also features Laura Harris ("The Dead Zone") in "The Calling" on Friday, May 26 at 9PM (ET/PT) and Marcia Cross ("Desperate Housewives") in the Basic Cable Premiere of "Always Say Goodbye" on Saturday, May 27 at 9PM (ET/PT).
