Sci Fi Shifts 'Eureka,' 'Superhero'; Adds 'Dead,' 'Stalker' Reruns

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Sci Fi has released its July schedule, which includes revised launch dates for newcomers "Eureka" and "Who Wants to Be a Superhero" as well as start dates for its off-network runs of ABC's "Night Stalker" and Showtime's "Dead Like Me."

Things kick off on Friday, July 14 with the season premieres of "Stargate SG-1" (Season 10) and "Stargate Atlantis" (Season 3) at 9:00/8:00c and 10:00/9:00c respectively. That same night, look for the new one-hour special "Science of Stargate: SG-1" at 8:00/7:00c.

Repeats of "Night Stalker" (including four previously unaired installments) will then fill the Friday, 8:00/7:00c hour starting July 28.

Meanwhile, Sci Fi's new drama series "Eureka" will now premiere on Tuesday, July 18 at 9:00/8:00c with its two-hour pilot. Leading into said broadcast will be back-to-back episodes of the short-lived Showtime series "Dead Like Me" at 7:00/6:00c and 8:00/7:00c while the network's "ECW" coverage will regularly follow at 10:00/9:00c.

And finally on Thursday, July 27 look for Stan Lee's "Who Wants to Be a Superhero" to bow that night at 9:00/8:00c. Said series will lead into the U.S. premiere of "Garth Marenghi's Darkplace" (click here for more info) at 10:00/9:00c followed by the backdoor pilot special "Amazing Screw On Head" at 10:30/9:30c.
