NBC UNIVERSAL TELEVISION STUDIO WINS FIVE

LOS ANGELES -- August 27, 2006 -- NBC Universal struck Emmy gold Sunday night as NBC topped all other broadcast networks with 14 Emmys, paced by hit series, �The Office,� which was named Outstanding Comedy Series. Freshman comedy series, �My Name Is Earl,� earned four statuettes including Outstanding Writing and Outstanding Directing.

Multiple Emmy winner Alan Alda helped four-time Outstanding Drama Series �The West Wing� tie as the all-time most-honored drama series with 26 total Emmys (tied with NBC�s �Hill Street Blues�).

USA Network�s �Monk� saw series title star Tony Shalhoub take home his third consecutive Emmy for his work as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.

After three nominations, Mariska Hargitay won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her starring role in �Law & Order: SVU.�

NBC Universal Television Studio walked away with five total Emmys including a second for �Will & Grace��s Megan Mullally and Outstanding Guest Star Leslie Jordan who was awarded at last week�s Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
