The CW Announces Long-Term Affiliation Agreement with Montecito Broadcast Group, Llc for Station in Honolulu
KHON-DT is the latest to join the netlet's affiliate station.

THE CW ANNOUNCES LONG-TERM AFFILIATION AGREEMENT WITH MONTECITO BROADCAST GROUP, LLC FOR STATION IN HONOLULU

(Burbank, CA) October 24, 2006 -- The CW Network announced today that it has signed a long-term affiliation agreement with Montecito Broadcast Group, LLC for KHON-DT, the digital station of the Fox Honolulu, HI, affiliate owned by Montecito. Honolulu is the 72nd largest market in the country.

To provide a powerful promotional platform to launch the CW on its sister DT station, KHON-TV (Fox) will showcase The CW's Tuesday and Wednesday programs with special, one-time-only primetime broadcasts. On Tuesday, October 24, "Gilmore Girls" and "Veronica Mars" will air 7-9PM and on Wednesday, October 25, "America's Next Top Model" and "One Tree Hill" will also air 7-9PM. All of The CW's regularly scheduled programs will premiere on KHON-DT on Monday, October 30, 2006.

The CW Network, which is owned jointly by CBS Corp. and Time Warner, Inc., consists of a six-night, 13-hour primetime lineup including Monday through Friday nights from 8:00-10:00 PM (ET/PT); Sundays from 7:00-10:00 PM (ET/PT); Sunday from 5:00-7:00 PM (ET/PT) outside of prime time as well as a Monday-Friday afternoon block from 3:00-5:00 PM (ET/PT) and a five-hour Saturday morning animation block.
