Burbank, CA (November 28, 2006) � A mischievous cat stirs up some trouble and a colorful Dr. Seuss adventure through classic storybooks, The Sneetches, The Zax and Green Eggs and Ham lead into a grouchy grinch and a stolen Christmas as ABC Family presents an evening with Dr. Seuss on Thursday, December 21 beginning at 7 p.m. ET/PT.

The night kicks off with the animated Dr. Seuss classic CAT IN THE HAT, which originally aired in 1971, airs at 7 p.m. ET/PT. Watch as this must-have childhood book comes to life to tell the story of two children, who are left home alone one afternoon, get a visit from a very interesting yet troublesome cat wearing a tall striped hat. The cat succeeds in creating a huge mess in their house - can they get it cleaned up before Mom gets home?

Next up, the storytelling continues as SEUSS ON THE LOOSE airs at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT bringing three more Dr. Seuss Books to life in the retelling of The Sneetches, The Zax and Green Eggs and Ham. Originally aired in 1973, this trilogy of books is narrated by The Cat in the Hat himself!

To cap the evening off, HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS starring Jim Carrey is set to air at 8 p.m. ET/PT. In this adaptation of the famous Christmas tale by Dr. Seuss, director Ron Howard casts comedian Jim Carrey in the title role, giving this rendition of HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS a perverse, manic spin when a freakish green monster living in a mountainside cave disguises himself as Santa Claus, and steals the Christmas goodies from every single home in Whoville. Narrated by Anthony Hopkins, this movie was written by Jeffrey Price and Peter S. Seaman.
