VH1's New Ensemble Comedy, "I Hate My 30's" To Premiere In The Spring Of 2007

PASADENA, CA, January, 11 2007 - VH1 has a new scripted half-hour ensemble series, "I Hate My 30's," an irreverent comedy about struggling with the end of prolonged adolescence while facing the realities and responsibilities of what happens when your 20's end and your 30's begin. VH1 has picked up 8 episodes of the series.

Set in a non-descript office and hosted by Dr. Rod, the unflappable guide, who introduces each episode then comments on the events as the episode unfolds. This modern day Rod Serling takes the viewer on a tour of widely identifiable cultural phenomenon -- your biological clock is ticking and you're running out of time or your dream of being a rock star is crushed by the weight of reality - AND approaches them through the skewed (and occasionally ridiculous) perspective of our characters.

While there are lessons being taught here, this is not your typical "After School Special" from yesteryear. These are important hard-learned life-lessons that hold a mirror up to your youth to mock you. You may not learn much from "I Hate My 30's," but you're sure to smirk knowingly at the misfortune of these characters as they're devastated by the realization that the life they've imagined is but a faint and fading dream in their rearview mirror.

"I Hate My 30's" was developed by an idea VH1 brought to the group Drama - a talented group of multi-hyphenates who have worked together putting on comedy shows and producing short films since college. Executive produced by Brice Beckham, David Fickas and Josh Uranga for Drama and Michael Hirschorn and Maggie Malina for VH1, all episodes were written and directed by Brice Beckham and David Fickas.

VH1 connects viewers to the music, artists and pop culture that matter to them most with series, specials, live events, exclusive online content and public affairs initiatives.
