Unprecedented Live Global News Event Features Reports From All Seven Continents, Including Antarctica

Anchored by Diane Sawyer, ABC News� �Planet Earth 2007: Seven Ways to Help Save the World� will investigate the state of the planet, reporting on today�s most crucial environmental and on successful solutions that are currently being employed across the globe. This unprecedented global news event will feature ABC News anchors and correspondents reporting live from all seven continents throughout the day on Friday, April 20. ABC News� coverage will culminate in a special �20/20� broadcast airing at 10:00 p.m., ET, with additional reports on �Good Morning America,� �World News with Charles Gibson,� �Nightline,� ABC News Now and ABC News Radio.

From the lush rain forests of Brazil to reefs off the coast of Australia, the ground-breaking broadcast will take viewers around the world to witness how the Earth is changing, and what people can do to positively impact those changes in the way that we live today. The coverage will outline the most pressing environmental issues threatening the Earth and the impact on thousands of animal species, including our own.

ABC News will also present working solutions to key environmental challenges on each continent. From geo-thermal energy programs in Iceland to China�s manufacturing of eco-friendly air-conditioners, viewers will get an overview of what countries and corporations are trying to do to improve the environment. The report will also focus on specific changes people can make in their own homes to help.
