Cartoon Network's Outrageous Hit Movie Becomes Live-Action Series Out of Jimmy's Head Coming Fridays this Fall

ATLANTA -- Based on last year's hit original movie Re-Animated, Cartoon Network's latest live-action series Out of Jimmy's Head continues the crazy adventures of Jimmy Roberts and his animated world with Golly and the gang. Dominic Janes (Alex Taggart on ER, Wild Hogs) returns as 12-year-old Jimmy Roberts, who while visiting the famous Gollyworld Park, has an accident with the park trolley that requires an emergency brain transplant. Gollyworld doctors give him the frozen brain of the famous cartoonist Milt Appleday, which enables Jimmy to see a whole world of cartoon characters who turn his life upside down wherever he goes. New to the series are Jon Kent Ethridge II (Last Days of Summer) as Craig, Jimmy's best friend, and Tinashe Kashingwe (The Polar Express) as Robin, Jimmy's crush.

"With the success of the movie last year, we felt this was the perfect project to launch Cartoon Network into a series featuring live-action characters," said Michael Ouweleen, senior vice president, programming and development for Cartoon Network. "The series will focus on Jimmy and his everyday life at school which also includes these outrageous animated characters created in the true spirit of Cartoon Network."

Rounding out the cast are: Matt Knudsen as Sonny, Milt Appleday's evil son who's trying to steal his father's brain back from Jimmy; Bil Dwyer as Jimmy's Dad and school guidance counselor; Rhea Lando as Yancy, Jimmy's alien step-sister; and Rachel Quaintance as Jimmy's Astronaut Mom.

Veteran voice actors Carlos Alazraqui, Tom Kenny, Ellen Greene and Brian Posehn lend their voices to the Appleday cartoon characters that come to life only for Jimmy.

Creators and writers Adam Pava and Tim McKeon will serve as executive producers on the series, along with Eric Kaplan, David Brookwell, Sean McNamara, and Bruce Hurwit. Out of Jimmy's Head is a Brookwell McNamara Entertainment (That's So Raven) production with the animation being produced at Cartoon Network Studios.

Cartoon Network (CartoonNetwork.com), currently seen in more than 91 million U.S. homes and 160 countries around the world, is Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.'s ad-supported cable service offering the best in original, acquired and classic animated entertainment for kids and families. Overnight from 11 p.m.-6 a.m. (ET, PT) Sunday-Thursday, Cartoon Network shares its channel space with Adult Swim, a late-night destination showcasing original and acquired animation for young adults 18-34.

Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., a Time Warner company, is a major producer of news and entertainment product around the world and the leading provider of programming for the basic cable industry.
