NEW YORK, September 4, 2007 -- In the second season of COMEDY CENTRAL's cult favorite series "Upright Citizens Brigade" starring Matt Besser ("Walk Hard"), Amy Poehler ("Saturday Night Live"), Ian Roberts ("Arrested Development") and Matt Walsh ("The Daily Show with Jon Stewart"), the group trace the origins of the deadly drug supercool, see Jesus in strange places and deal with an infestation of friars and party with the Wu Tang Clan. Released via COMEDY CENTRAL Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment, "Upright Citizens Brigade: The Complete Second Season" DVD arrives in stores nationwide on Tuesday, September 18 and will also be available at http://shop.comedycentral.com.

"Upright Citizens Brigade: The Complete Second Season" DVD is a two-disc set featuring all 10 episodes which originally aired on COMEDY CENTRAL in 1999. It features a unique live audio commentary recorded with the entire cast in front of a live audience at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Los Angeles. This live audio commentary appears on episodes "Spaghetti Jesus" (207) and "Supercool" (210) followed by a Q&A with the audience members. Traditional audio commentary with the cast is available on the remaining eight episodes. Additional bonus material includes early live performances and deleted scenes.

The Upright Citizens Brigade (Matt Besser, Amy Poehler, Ian Roberts, and Matt Walsh) sketch comedy troupe perfected its craft in Chicago, performing for Second City and the Improv Olympics Theater. In 1996, they moved to New York City. Noticing an absence of Chicago-style long form improv known as The Harold" where sketches intertwine and eventually become one, through plot, theme and recurring characters, the four members of the UCB began their training program in 1997. It became so successful that the group opened their own theater.

The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater (www.ucbtheatre.com) opened on February 4, 1999 quickly became the place for great, cutting-edge, comedy. Casting directors, agents, festival producers, and journalists flock to the UCB Theater to see the best comic talent in the city. Now there is also a UCB Theater in Los Angeles. Both theaters aim to offer the best and most innovative improv, stand-up, and sketch comedy in those cities seven days a week. In addition to the performance space, UCBT is home to an intensive Improv Guerilla Training Center where students learn the art of improvisational and written comedy. In October, the UCB will launch their third stage which will be a comedy video Web site, www.UCBcomedy.com featuring performers from the theaters.
