USA NETWORK'S NEW ORIGINAL SERIES IN PLAIN SIGHT COMES INTO VIEW ON THURSDAY, APRIL 24

Mary McCormack, Lesley Ann Warren and Frederick Weller Star in Series Set in the World of the Federal Witness Protection Program

NEW YORK February 13, 2008 IN PLAIN SIGHT, USA Network's new original scripted series, will premiere on Thursday, April 24, at 10/9c, it was announced by Jeff Wachtel, executive vice president of original programming, USA Network. Shot on location in and around Albuquerque, NM, IN PLAIN SIGHT will premiere with a 90-minute episode followed by eleven one-hour episodes. The series was created and written by David Maples ("Home Improvement," "Huff"), who serves as executive producer alongside Paul Stupin ("Dawson's Creek," "Beautiful People").

IN PLAIN SIGHT stars Mary McCormack ("The West Wing," "Private Parts") as Mary Shannon, a U.S. Marshal working in the highly secretive branch of the witness protection program (WITSEC) who relocates Federal Witnesses - many of them who are career criminals, and many who are innocents that had the misfortune of witnessing a crime. They all have one thing in common -- someone wants them dead. Mary's job is to see that doesn't happen, while at the same time attempting to manage her own dysfunctional family.

"In Mary Shannon, David Maples has created a strong, relatable character who fits perfectly into the ever-expanding USA roster of female leads," said Wachtel, "and Mary McCormack is not only a genuine star but also an absolute joy to work with."

IN PLAIN SIGHT also stars Frederick Weller ("Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "The Shape of Things"), Mary's partner and best friend who loves her despite the emotional armor she wears; Lesley Ann Warren ("Desperate Housewives," "Will & Grace") as Jinx, Mary's frequently unemployed and emotionally-charged mother who lives with her; Nichole Hiltz ("NYPD Blue," "Strong Medicine"), her younger sister who recently came for an extended visit and complicates both her personal and professional lives; Paul Ben-Victor ("The Wire," "Entourage"), Mary and Marshall's beleaguered boss; Cristian de la Fuente ("Side Order of Life," "Ugly Betty"), Mary's on-off boyfriend who is a source of complication and consternation in her life; and Todd Williams ("Tilt," "Third Watch"), the local police detective who regularly crosses paths with Mary and often butts heads with her. IN PLAIN SIGHT comes from Universal Media Studios.

Guest stars this season include Dave Foley ("Newsradio," "Kids in the Hall") as one of the more uncooperative witnesses under Mary's watch; Sherry Stringfield ("ER," "Tell Me You Love Me") as the wife of a witness who gets shot while in the program and becomes the prime suspect; Percy Daggs III ("Veronica Mars), who plays the victim of gang violence whose shooting lands his girlfriend and her family under WITSEC's care; Wendell Pierce ("The Wire," "Numb3rs") as the patriarch of the relocated family, who is none too happy about having to give up his life and successful medical practice because of the situation; and Jane Adams ("Little Children," "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," "Frasier") as a miserably married and devoutly Catholic woman in the program whose husband's untimely death raises questions to which Mary and Marshall search for answers.
