Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, Nicole Kidman, Clint Eastwood, Sean Connery and George Clooney Among the Top Stars Featured on Big Movie Thursdays in June.

Burbank, Calif. � May 23, 2008 � Universal HD kicks off the summer in a sexy way with top name celebrities in some of their best roles to date. June is packed with theme nights including the introduction of Sexy Summer Sundays, an evening dedicated to June weddings gone wrong and an evening spent with Michael Douglas and friends. Fathers won't be left out this June as Uni HD presents a double feature of lighthearted movies in honor of Father's Day.

"Summertime is Universal HD at its best and June keeps it light and fun with huge blockbusters, A-list stars and sporting events that look unbelievable in 1080i high definition," said Dan Harrison, Senior Vice President of Emerging Networks.

Universal HD gets fired up for summer this month with Big Movie Thursdays. Top celebrities featured include: Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood, Nicole Kidman, George Clooney, Kurt Russell, Sean Connery and Alec Baldwin in some of their greatest roles. "Pink Cadillac" and "Working Girl" premiere on June 5 at 6:30pm and 9pm ET, followed by Alicia Silverstone going from ditsy to dangerous in the double feature of "Clueless" and "The Crush" at 11pm and 1am ET. On June 12, viewers get a "double double feature" with two Stanley Kubrick films: "2001: A Space Odyssey" at 6:30pm ET and "Eyes Wide Shut," starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, at 9pm ET. Tom Cruise returns for "Vanilla Sky" at 12am ET. Harrison Ford lives on the edge in "Frantic" on June 19 at 5:30pm ET followed by "Escape from New York" at 8pm and 12am ET and the sequel, "John Carpenter's Escape from L.A." at 10pm and 2am ET. June 26 has military men reporting for duty in "Wing Commander" at 6pm ET and "The Presidio" at 8pm ET. Alec Baldwin stars in "The Hunt for Red October" at 10pm, followed by George Clooney in "Solaris" at 12:30am ET.

Sexy Summer Sundays sizzle up summer on Uni HD beginning June 8 with the premieres of "South Beach" starring Vanessa Williams at 6pm, 11pm and 4am ET and "Sex, Lies and Secrets" at 7pm, 12am and 5am ET. The fireworks continue with the feature films "Eyes Wide Shut," "Bachelor Party," "Blue Crush" and "Porky's."

Sports fans can get up close and personal with hockey players when Universal HD encores the NHL Stanley Cup finals in June. Game 5 airs on Monday, June 2 at 2am ET, followed by Game 6 on Wednesday, June 4 at 2am and Game 7 on Saturday, June 7 at 2am ET. Golf fans can get a great view of the course on Sports Wednesdays with the 2008 PGA Golf: The Ginn Tribute on Wednesday, June 4, Michael Douglas & Friends Celebrity Golf on Wednesday, June 11 and the 2008 PGA Golf: U.S. Open Days One and Two on Wednesday, June 18.

Uni HD proves that even the best-planned weddings can go wrong with a comedy double feature on Tuesday, June 3. Tom Hanks plays a groom-to-be in the Universal HD premiere of "Bachelor Party" at 8pm and 12am ET. Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn, Diane Keaton and Sarah Jessica Parker give us a different take on marriage in "The First Wives Club" at 10pm and 2am ET and last, but not least, the honeymoon is over for Robin Williams at "Club Paradise" at 6pm and 4am ET.

It's Dad's day on June 15 and Uni HD presents a special double feature in their honor. First off, Kevin Costner hits a home run in "For Love of the Game" at 8pm ET. Tom Hanks gets into trouble in an encore presentation of "Bachelor Party" at 12:30am ET.
