CHILLER IS THE FAN DESTINATION FOR ORIGINAL HORROR THIS JULY

Burbank, Calif. - June 26, 2008 - Chiller becomes more than just the home of your favorite horror films and this series this July. The network's first original webisode series, "The Hills Are Alive," premieres July 22 on Chillertv.com. Also on Chillertv.com, the second edition of the successful "Dare 2 Direct Film Festival" is soliciting new films for this year's contest. Winners will be announced on Halloween.

"We are thrilled as Chiller premieres its first original online series from Caroline Thompson, one of Tim Burton's accomplished collaborators," said Dan Harrison, Senior Vice-President, Emerging Networks, NBC Universal. "We also are standing by the mailbox to see the newest entries in "Dare 2 Direct 2." We want to showcase what our fans scare up this year."

Summer vacation is scarier than ever before this July on Chiller when the network frightens viewers with weekend marathons and thriller premieres, featuring two of America's biggest stars - Kathy Bates and Dustin Hoffman. This month, Chiller brings viewers along on a summer tour of haunted houses for a weekend in hell and Chiller Summer Camp continues with even more creatures and crazies. Additionally, Chiller brings viewers a Lost Weekend featuring a movie that was one of the main inspirations for the hit TV series "Lost."

The Chiller Weekend in Hell starts off on Saturday, July 5 with Kathy Bates as your host for back-to-back airings of "Misery," at 9pm and 11:30pm ET. Then, Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis star in the Chiller premiere of Tim Burton's "Beetlejuice" on Sunday, July 6 at 9pm and 11:30pm ET.

Back by popular demand, Chiller Summer Camp continues this month on Fridays from 8pm to 2pm ET. The triple features remain all summer long with Saturday encores from 1pm to 7pm ET. Featured this month on Chiller Summer Camp:

July 4: "The Rats," "Bugs," "Snakehead Terror"

July 11: "Swamp Thing," "Gargantua," "Dr. Giggles"

July 18: "Leprechaun," "Leprechaun 5," "Them!"

July 25: "Trucks," "House of Dark Shadows," "Night of Dark Shadows"

As part of Chiller's Lost Weekend, the network will air Stephen King's "The Langoliers" on Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20 at 9pm and 12am ET. This drama, about passengers surviving a plane crash and finding themselves surrounded by strange phenomena, was one of the main inspirations for the hit TV series "Lost." David Morse, Patricia Wettig and Dean Stockwell star.

Dustin Hoffman stops by to give viewers a good scare in "Sphere" on Saturday, July 12 at 9pm and 12am ET. Then, stay away from the water at Camp Crystal Lake in the first "Friday the 13th" on Sunday, July 13 at 9pm and 12am ET.
