LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC has quietly yanked the last two episodes of its summer entry "Dance Machine," scheduling updates from the network confirmed this morning.
Repeats of "America's Funniest Home Videos" will instead fill the Friday, 8:00/7:00c hour. "Machine's" most recent installment drew a 0.7 rating among adults 18-49, making it the least-watched program on the night across the five major broadcast networks.
Also getting the boot is CBS's "Jingles." Originally set for a July 27 launch, the Mark Burnett-produced series - in which contestants must write and perform a jingle for a product - will instead roll out either later this year or sometime in 2009.
In its place, "Cold Case" will slide back to the Sunday, 9:00/8:00c slot followed by encores of newcomer "Flashpoint" at 10:00/9:00c.
