MARK FEUERSTEIN STARS IN USA NETWORK PILOT "ROYAL PAINS"

Jace Alexander (USA's BURN NOTICE) set to direct

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - July 20, 2008 - USA Network has cast Mark Feuerstein to star in the 90-minute pilot ROYAL PAINS (working title), which lifts the cast contingency from the project. The pilot will be directed by Jace Alexander (BURN NOTICE, "Warehouse 13"). ROYAL PAINS is from The Firm, executive produced by Rich Frank and Paul Frank ("Comanche Moon"), and written and co-executive produced by Andrew Lenchewski ("UC: Undercover"). John Rogers ("Hide & Seek") serves as co-executive producer. ROYAL PAINS is being produced by Universal Cable Productions. The announcement was made today by Jeff Wachtel, executive vice president, USA original programming & co-head, original programming, Universal Cable Productions.

"ROYAL PAINS is great idea realized in a bright and wonderful way in Andrew's script," said Wachtel. "Like many of the stars on our network, Mark has played some great characters in his career and is ready to break out in a starring role."

ROYAL PAINS centers on young doctor Hank Lawson who seems to have it all ... thriving career, beautiful girlfriend, and swank NYC apartment. With one fateful and principled decision in the ER, Hank loses it all. Months later, single and blackballed from the medical community, Hank goes for a weekend in the Hamptons with his best friend. Crashing a party at a mega-mansion on the beach, Hank jumps into action when a guest requires medical attention that only he is able to diagnose. The next morning, Hank is summoned to another mansion. And then another. Hank's career is revived, but in a way he's not exactly happy about, as he becomes the on-call doctor for the rich, famous and infamous. Anyone who's anyone in the Hamptons has a lawyer on retainer. Now meet the newest accessory - the concierge doctor.

Feuerstein has made a name for himself in both film and television and has starred in such hit movies as "What Women Want" with Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt, "In Her Shoes" with Cameron Diaz; "Practical Magic" with Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock; and "Woman on Top" with Penelope Cruz. He starred in the NBC show "Good Morning, Miami" and has had numerous guest appearances on the critically acclaimed shows "The West Wing" and "Once and Again," as well as "Caroline in the City," "The Closer," "Fired Up," and "Ally McBeal." Most recently, Feuerstein completed filming on "Defiance" starring Daniel Craig and Liev Schreiber and directed by Edward Zwick.

One of the busiest directors working today, Alexander will direct the ROYAL PAINS pilot. Alexander has directed numerous network and cable shows over the past few years including "Law & Order," "Lipstick Jungle," "Rescue Me," "Six Degrees," "Prison Break," "Love Monkey," "House M.D.," "Phil of the Future," "Lizzie McGuire," "Ally McBeal," "The Practice," "Arli$$," "Now and Again," "New York Undercover," "Xena: Warrior Princess," "Homicide: Life on the Street" and "Canterbury's Law." He most recently directed the upcoming "Warehouse 13" for SCI FI and he directed the pilot of the hit USA series, BURN NOTICE.
