A MAMMOTH ON THE FREEWAY AND THE TEAM'S MOST TERRIFYING THREAT YET

***MAJOR SPOILER ALERT***

-BBC AMERICA's hit sci-fi series, Primeval, continues with massive adventures-

BBC AMERICA's new thriller, Primeval, from the creator of Walking With Dinosaurs, is already a monster hit and the raptors haven't even arrived yet. Since unexplained anomalies began ripping holes in the fabric of time, Professor Nick Cutter (Douglas Henshall) and his team have been facing off against savage creatures of the past in modern day. But now mankind faces its deadliest threat - a creature that's never before walked the earth. Just as dangerous is the traitor in their midst and the lethal trap set for Cutter and his team. Who is the spy and what does his wife Helen's (Juliet Aubrey) re-appearance have to do with it?

Primeval Season one finale airs Saturday, September 13, 9:00 p.m. ET/PT and Season two premieres Saturday, September 20, 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

The adventure continues with anomalies appearing more frequently than ever as raptors rampage a shopping mall, a sabre-tooth tiger attacks a theme park and a mammoth stops traffic on a London freeway. So far, Cutter's team has managed to come out unscathed, but when battling creatures from another time, how long can that last?

In the season one finale, at the original anomaly site, Special Forces discover an iron fence in ruins with no trace of what caused the damage. Meanwhile, at Abby's (Hannah Spearritt) zoo, lions have gone missing, leaving behind only a small pool of blood and a large hole in the roof of the cage.

With danger looming, things are just as unsettling at government headquarters, where Claudia (Lucy Brown) is attempting to reassure Lester (Ben Miller) of Cutter's capabilities. In the lab, the blood analysis taken from the lion pen turns out to be part bat and it's baffling Connor (Andrew-Lee Potts) and the scientists - until Helen appears to reveal that this isn't a prehistoric predator, it's a ferocious beast from the future.

Tracking this highly intelligent animal, the most terrifying adversary yet, pushes the team to its limits. The battle takes Cutter through an anomaly, but he returns to find the world the same except for one difference - a team member no longer exists. Has Cutter's actions in the past altered the present? Or has he in fact returned to the wrong present? Everyone appears oblivious to Cutter's concerns. Just as he is coming to terms with the loss, he makes a shocking discovery when a new recruit arrives called Jenny Lewis
