SCI FI GREENLIGHTS PILOT FOR GHOST HUNTERS: COLLEGE EDITION

New York, NY October 23, 2008 Building upon the tremendous success of cable's top paranormal franchise Ghost Hunters, SCI FI Channel has greenlit the pilot for a brand-new series, Ghost Hunters: College Edition (working title) from Craig Piligian's Pilgrim Films and Television. Ghost Hunters: College Edition features a group of college students, led by seasoned investigators, who search for the paranormal in haunted hotspots around the country and around the world.

Enjoying record-high ratings throughout its run since 2004, Ghost Hunters remains one of cable's hottest shows and is currently celebrating its best season ever. An episode on October 8 scored all-time ratings highs with a 2.0 household rating, over 2.7 million total viewers and 1.8 million Adults 25-54. This fall, new episodes of Ghost Hunters will include the 3rd annual live investigation on Halloween night, this year taking place at the historic Fort Delaware from 7pm-2am.

The series' successful spin-off, Ghost Hunters International, debuted in January 2008 to record ratings and enjoyed a successful 7-episode run, averaging over 2 million viewers during the winter season. Its summer season averaged a 1.7 Household rating, 1.3 million Adults 18-49, 1.4 million Adults 25-54 and 2.4 million total viewers, up +11% from the show's 2008 winter season.

The phenomenal success of both series has cemented Ghost Hunters' place as the #1 paranormal franchise in cable! Ghost Hunters, Ghost Hunters International and Ghost Hunters: College Edition are produced in association with Craig Piligian's Pilgrim Films and Television (Dirty Jobs, Ultimate Fighter, In Harm's Way). Piligian and Thomas Thayer, along with Rob Katz and Alan David, serve as executive producers.
