FLASH FORWARD (ABC) - Joseph Fiennes ("Pretty/Handsome") and John Cho ("Star Trek") are in negotiations to star in the drama pilot, which chronicles the chaos that ensues after everyone in the world passes out for 2 minutes and 17 seconds and has a mysterious vision of the future that changes their lives forever. Fiennes would play Mark Banford, "an FBI agent who is patching up his life and his marriage after winning a long struggle with the bottle." Cho then is believed to be set as Dominic Witten, "a dedicated FBI agent who is Mark's partner and friend [whose] experience while unconscious was an absolute blank, which doesn't bode well for his own future as he realizes he might be murdered." They'll join the previously cast Courtney B. Vance and Jack Davenport on the ABC Studios hour, which is based on Robert J. Sawyer's novel of the same name and comes from executive producers David S. Goyer, Brannon Braga, Jessika Borsiczky Goyer, Vince Gerardis and Ralph M. Vicinanza.
THE TBS COMEDY ROADSHOW (TBS, New!) - The cable channel has ordered a pilot to a new half-hour series which aims to put a contemporary spin on Vaudeville, a genre of a variety entertainment prevalent in the early 20th century. Harland Williams has been tapped to host the late-night project, which would feature the comedian as he travels the country exploring the history of the format using stand-up comedy, novelty acts, musical acts, short films and animated shorts. TBS Productions is behind the project, with Page Hurwitz and Javier Winnik ("Last Comic Standing") executive producing.
