HOT FROM FOX...

JENNIFER BEALS TO GUEST-STAR ON "LIE TO ME" BEGINNING WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29, ON FOX

Jennifer Beals is set to guest-star on LIE TO ME as Zoe Landau, Lightman's (Tim Roth) ex-wife and Emily's (Hayley McFarland) mother. When Landau, an Assistant U.S. Attorney, hires The Lightman Group to assist with an arson case, it quickly becomes clear that she and Lightman still have feelings for each other. Beals' multi-episode arc begins Wednesday, April 29 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Since her breakout role in "Flashdance," a part that earned her a Golden Globe nomination and an NAACP Image Award, Beals has been featured extensively in films and on television. She recently completed work as a series regular on six seasons of the critically acclaimed "The L Word." A graduate of Yale University, Beals has appeared in more than 50 films, including "Rodger Dodger," "Devil in a Blue Dress," "Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle," "The Grudge 2," "Runaway Jury," "The Last Days of Disco," "The Anniversary Party" and "Four Rooms." She is currently filming the action adventure film "The Book of Eli" alongside Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman, and recently finished work on the French film "Joueuse" with Kevin Klein.

LIE TO ME, the No. 1 new show of the season among Adults 18-49, stars Tim Roth as Dr. Cal Lightman, the world's leading deception expert who studies facial expressions and involuntary body language to discover not only if someone is lying, but why. Based on the real-life scientific discoveries of Dr. Paul Ekman, the series follows Lightman and his team of deception experts as they assist law enforcement and government agencies to expose the truth behind the lies.

Samuel Baum, Brian Grazer, David Nevins and Steven Maeda serve as executive producers on the series, which is produced by Imagine Television and 20th Century Fox Television.
