CBS Mobile Announces "Harper's Island" Free Application Now Availabe on Apple App Store

Pre-Show Version For iPhone and iPod touch Users Includes Preview Clips and Back Story of the CBS Television Show "HARPER'S ISLAND"

SAN FRANCISCO, March 27 - CBS Mobile today announced the launch of its free "Harper's Island" application on the Apple App Store. The pre-launch version of the application provides iPhone and iPod touch users with details on the terrifying history of HARPER'S ISLAND, as well as preview clips from the show. The application is available now, two weeks prior to the HARPER'S ISLAND premiere on the CBS Television Network, Thursday, April 9 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) and concludes with the broadcast finale on Thursday, July 2 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT).

After the premiere episode of HARPER'S ISLAND, iPhone and iPod touch users will automatically receive a free update. In the updated version of the app, fans can participate in the mystery by watching preview and summary clips from the television broadcast, navigate the interactive island map, learn more about the island's guests and review the local newspaper, Harper's Globe, for even more details.

Viewers can then use all the information gathered from the app's interactive features to guess who will be the killer's next victim, where the victim will be killed and ultimately solve the HARPER'S ISLAND murders by naming the killer among the group of 25 suspects. Following each new television episode, the app will be updated with new content allowing fans to continue playing detective using the new information.

The app also features a leaderboard which allows users to compare their skills against other players. Points are accumulated based on the accuracy of user picks for the next victim and next murder location and incremental points are received for one-time guesses at the killer based on how early in the broadcast season the user makes the guess.

HARPER'S ISLAND is about a group of family and friends who travel to a secluded island for a destination wedding. As the wedding festivities begin, friendships are tested and secrets exposed as a murderer claims victims, one by one, transforming the wedding week of fun and celebration into a terrifying struggle for survival. In every episode, someone is killed and every person is a suspect, from the wedding party to the island locals. By the end of the 13 episodes, all questions will be answered, the killer will be revealed and only a few will survive.
