Country Music's Only Fan-Voted Awards Show Now on Tuesday, June 16

NASHVILLE � April 27, 2009 � The all-star performance line-up gets even sweeter with the addition of Keith Urban, Sugarland and British rockers Def Leppard to the 2009 CMT MUSIC AWARDS, which will premiere LIVE on Tuesday, June 16 at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT on CMT and CMT.com. Previously announced performers include Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift. Tickets to the eighth annual fan-voted awards show go on-sale Saturday, May 2.

Ticket prices start at $25 and will go up to $99 for a ticket package that includes a seat on the red carpet, as well as the main show. Tickets to the 2009 CMT MUSIC AWARDS at the Sommet Center in Nashville go on sale Saturday, May 2 at 10 a.m., CT and are available at the Sommet Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000, online at CMT.com and ticketmaster.com.

Fan voting for the 2009 CMT MUSIC AWARDS began on April 13 and continues through May 11, only at CMT.com, where fans will select the top nominees in each of the categories. On Tuesday, May 19, CMT will announce the four finalists in each of the categories, except VIDEO OF THE YEAR. Fans can then vote online at CMT.com through June 15 to determine the winners of the 2009 CMT MUSIC AWARDS. The final nominees for VIDEO OF THE YEAR will be announced at the beginning of the live show and fans can vote at CMT.com throughout the live broadcast (ET/CT only) to determine the night's big winner.
