24 (FOX) - "The Starter Wife" alum Chris Diamantopoulos has joined the cast of the veteran drama. He'll play Rob Weiss, "the argumentative and tough new Chief of Staff to President Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones)." The actor is the second newcomer to the show's eight season, the first being "Slumdog Millionaire's" Anil Kapoor.
LIE TO ME (FOX) - Daniel Sackheim ("Life") has signed a two-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television. The pact, financial details of which weren't released, calls for the prolific director/producer to join the studio's "Lie to Me" as an executive producer. There he'll join incoming showrunner/fellow executive producer Shawn Ryan. Sackheim had previously been based on Universal Media Studios, where he worked on the aforementioned "Life" and "House."
