MAX KAPITANNIKOV AND ASHLEY VALERIO ARE ELIMINATED ON "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE"

TOP 16 FINALISTS COMPETE AS COUPLES ON NEXT PERFORMANCE SHOW WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24, ON FOX

The Veronicas to Perform on Results Show Thursday, June 25

Finalists Max Kapitannikov and Ashley Valerio were eliminated tonight on the summer hit SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Kapitannikov, 26, is a Latin Ballroom dancer from Brooklyn, NY and Valerio, 22, is a Contemporary dancer from Hollywood, CA. This week featured special performances by Kristinia DeBarge who sang her pop hit "Goodbye" and Amrapali Ambegaokar, a celebrated Kathak dancer.

The three couples who received the fewest votes after Wednesday's performance show were: Kayla Radomski and Max Kapitannikov; Caitlin Kinney and Jason Glover; and Ashley Valerio and Kupono Aweau. After each of these six dancers performed solo routines, the judges eliminated Max Kapitannikov and Ashley Valerio.

Next week, the competition continues on television's most original dance show when the remaining 16 finalists (Kupono Aweau, Brandon Bryant, Phillip Chbeeb, Randi Evans, Karla Garcia, Jason Glover, Vitolio Jeune, Evan Kasprzak, Caitlin Kinney, Asuka Kondoh, Janette Manrara, Jeanine Mason, Ade Obayomi, Jonathan Platero, Kayla Radomski and Melissa Sandvig) compete as couples once again on a two-hour performance show Wednesday, June 24 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).

The following night, singing sensation The Veronicas will perform their new single, "Take Me On The Floor," and the judges will send two more dancers home on the live results show Thursday, June 25 (9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE was created by Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe and comes from 19 Entertainment, Ltd. and Dick Clark Productions. It is executive-produced by Simon Fuller, Nigel Lythgoe and Barry Adelman.
